November: FOCUS Summit, Nathan's Family in town, and Thanksgiving!!!

Nathan's FOCUS Regional Director Summit in Denver. Nathan headed to Denver for a few days of formation with all the Regional Directors and Executives of FOCUS. Lauren was a bit jealous staying back in Philly, but was happy Nathan could visit the mountains and some of his closest friends!

Upon Nathan's return we were looking forward to the visit of Larry, Leah, and Parker, Nathan's family!!! We had a fun weekend visiting Peddler's Village, in Historic Bucks County, and spending some time together at home! We also celebrated Thanksgiving a few days early! We decided since we would be eating plenty of turkey in the near future, we would enjoy a delicious stir fry meal made in our wok given to us by Leah!!! We had a great weekend, and hated to see them go!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we stay in the northeast. We were invited to go to New Jersey to celebrate with Lauren's uncle Linus, aunt Margie, and cousin Andy with their family! We had a great day and came home with weeks' worth of leftovers!

As we came out of Mass Thanksgiving morning, we saw our first snow!
Nathan was sweet and bought sweet muffins for us for breakfast after Mass.
Then we traveled to New Jersey for a traditional Thanksgiving meal Linus and Margie prepared for us at Amy and John's!

Margie taught me how to make homemade whipped cream! Now there's no turning back, now that I know how to make the real deal :)

We pray and hope your year is full of blessings and that you are grateful for them all!!!

Visiting Lancaster County

When my cousin Anna was in town, she went to see Lancaster county! So we were inspired to go visit! Some of these shots are taken from the road as we passed along, others we went on an Amish tour or stopped by the local market!

should I mention we love bacon???
Nahthan can't escape Doll Face! (inside joke for many, sorry!)

A typical Amish home...
Notice the propane gas lamp.

the one room school house...Inside you can see that the desk go from smaller to larger!

We first saw the covered bridge above, then decided to go find other covered bridges! We still want to find more!

Shortly after Jordan arrived, Lauren's aunt Lynn and uncle Paul came to town along with Lauren's cousins Anna and Mary! We enjoyed a weekend full of sight seeing along with Paul's sister's family who also live in PA!
